i. Table 2, Nogoya CM2 (459.4 μg row): 26Al26Al is listed as −2.2 ± 0.5 dpm kg−1. A negative cosmogenic concentration is unphysical. Is this a sign/typo, an undetected value, or a blank over-subtraction? This matters because Nogoya is used as the analytical baseline.
ii. C0106-09 depth inconsistency: Table 4 gives the 26Al depth as 10–110 g cm−2 and adopted depth 20–85 g cm−2, but p. 9 text says 26Al depth is 105–150 g cm−2. If the text is correct, there is no overlap with the 10Be depth (20–85 g cm−2), so the adopted 20–85 g cm−2 and 1.7 Myr age need rejustification. Which value is correct?
iii. Figure 7 vs Table 4 for C0106-10: In Figure 7, C0106-10 appears plotted at roughly ~80 g cm−2, whereas Table 4 adopts 120–135 g cm−2. Since the 36Clth/Cl inference depends on this depth, please clarify which depth was used and whether the “Cl up to 1400 ppm” conclusion is robust.
iv. p. 5 noble-gas ratio: The text states 4He/22Ne of Chamber A is ≈250 and Chamber C ranges 190–240. Table 3 gives 4He/22Ne ≈ 1.8–2.2 × 1033; the quoted 190–240 corresponds to 4He/20Ne4He/20Ne. Is the denominator a typo? This directly affects the solar-wind retention/loss argument.
v. C0002 average 26Al: The text quotes 23.4 ± 1.8 dpm kg−1−1, but Table 2 gives only V01 = 23.9 ± 1.9 and V02 = 19.7 ± 5.1; the mass-weighted mean is ~23.1, and the unweighted mean is ~21.8. Please show how 23.4 ± 1.8 was derived.
