– Fig. 4 reports India = 1034 (31%) and China = 721 (22%); these alone sum to 1755, exceeding the stated corpus of 1740 documents. Fig. 5 reports India = 2013 (35%) and China = 1559 (28%), each individually exceeding 1740. The text calls these “total articles”/“total production,” but they are evidently affiliation appearances, not document counts. This misstates the geographic findings.
– “Financial inclusion” shows a frequency of ~2000 in a 1740-document corpus. The text interprets this as “publication frequency,” which cannot be correct. The counting basis must be clarified and corrected.
– Cluster count inconsistency (Fig. 13). The text states “four primary thematic constellations” but describes only three (red, green, blue). Either a cluster is missing or the count is wrong.
– The statement that the selection approach ensured compliance with “data security in the healthcare sector’s big data” is unrelated to FinTech/DeFi/ESG and appears to be a copy-paste error.
– Partial 2025 data inflate growth claims. The PRISMA caption states data were collected in September 2025, yet 2025 is reported as the highest publication year (668) and used to support “exponential growth” and a 55.41% annual growth rate. A partial year cannot be treated as complete.
– The paper repeatedly claims emerging economies are underrepresented, yet India and China are the dominant contributors. The claim needs qualification or correction.
– The paper identifies “two dominant thematic clusters” but later refers to “the three clusters.” This must be reconciled.
– Reference and table errors. Examples: Huang (2025) is assigned to Journal of Accounting Literature but the DOI belongs to Discover Sustainability; Yue et al. (2022) is cited as Research Letters in the reference list but Finance Research Letters in Table 10; “Schueffel” appears as “Schuoffel” in Table 1; “Nefta & Jellouli” is also spelled “Neffa & Jellouli”; Kishor et al. (2025) is duplicated; Jafri et al. (2025) DOI contains a space. Table 11 duplicates the “Single database” limitation.
