This article contains several reporting discrepancies that require clarification. Most notably, Figure 6A reports 10 nM Erastin whereas the Methods specify 10 μM, and Figure 4A reports four proteomic replicates while the analysis procedure describes three values per condition. The treatment matrix for the conditioned-medium experiment should also be provided because the reported design does not clearly exclude an effect of androgen exposure on the macrophages or their secretome. In addition, CellTiter-Glo measures total metabolic activity in mixed cultures and therefore requires macrophage-only controls or tumor-specific validation before it can be interpreted directly as cancer-cell viability. We ask the authors to provide the original plate-level data, complete treatment assignments, uncropped images, proteomic sample-to-file mapping, and paired patient-level expression data, and to clarify whether these discrepancies remain in the Oncogene version of record.
