This study does a great job validating 3M™ Petrifilm™ for colostrum bacterial testing, but a couple of things could use more clarification. First, the new cut-off thresholds look promising, but were they tested on an independent dataset to see if they hold up outside the study population? That would help confirm their real-world reliability. Moreover, since freezing colostrum might underestimate bacterial counts, was there any comparison between fresh and frozen samples to measure the impact?
