This work offers a valuable assessment of the environmental risks posed by pharmaceuticals in Italy, integrating drug utilization and eco-toxicological data. However, some limitations are not fully pointed out, particularly regarding missing or incomplete data from the OsMed reports and eco-toxicological sources. Don`t the authors think that these gaps could impact the risk assessments? and could the authors provide more clarity on how these were handled.

Moreover, while Figure 1 presents clear risk quotients, further explanation of the thresholds for categorizing risk is needed to enhance the interpretation. Figure 2 shows the sensitivity analysis, but a more detailed discussion of the impact of wastewater production and dilution factors on the risk classifications seems also needed here.
