Could the authors clarify how the sediment wear prediction model accounts for variations in sediment particle size and concentration over time, and whether these variations were observed in the actual operating conditions of the hydropower station?

I also have a question on your methodology:
The wear rates for different components (e.g., spray needle, nozzle mouth ring, water bucket) are provided in micrometers per hour (μm/h). Could the authors elaborate on how these rates were calculated, especially considering the varying sediment concentrations and flow velocities? Additionally, how were the wear rates extrapolated to predict annual wear?
