Thank you for your valuable work on dehumanization and empathy among healthcare professionals. I noticed a few areas that could strengthen the paper: (1) the reliance on low-reliability tools like TIPI (Cronbach’s alpha 0.33–0.428) may undermine the robustness of personality trait assessments; (2) the use of cross-sectional data for mediation analysis limits causal inferences, particularly regarding empathy’s role; and (3) the potential overgeneralization of findings to broader healthcare systems without accounting for cultural and institutional variations. Could you address these to enhance the clarity and validity of the study?
