The immunocytochemistry images vary noticeably in fluorescence intensity and background signal across conditions (particularly Figures 2b–e and 5a–b).
A notable discrepancy exists between unchanged mRNA levels for C1R and a significant reduction in C1r protein. While the authors propose post-transcriptional regulation, this explanation remains speculative.
The authors report no significant variability among clones in Figure 3a but only select one clone for subsequent experiments.
