The catalytic performance results are promising, particularly the high conversion and selectivity achieved with 60% CaO/γ-Al₂O₃. However, the manuscript would benefit from more detailed clarification on the following:

– How reproducible were the conversion and selectivity values across replicates?
– Were any side products such as glycidol or glycerol dicarbonate detected or quantified during the reaction?
– Could the authors elaborate on the reaction mechanism and how the catalyst basicity specifically influences the selectivity toward GlyC over possible by-products?
