This review throws in a lot of info on PPCPs, but one big problem is how all the toxicity data is just dumped without putting it into perspective. They list concentrations and effects, but never really say which ones are actually dangerous in real environments. Same with the health impacts; they mention all kinds of risks but don’t explain how likely any of them really are, or what levels of exposure matter. And when it comes to treatment methods, everything is “promising” or “efficient,” but based on what? There’s no clear comparison, no data on costs, limits, or real-world success. Honestly, how can anyone make sense of what’s actually effective or concerning without that context?
