The review provides valuable insights into the potential for MSW valorization in Ethiopia. However, seasonal variability in waste generation and composition appears underexplored. Given that organic waste content often shifts between dry and wet seasons, could the authors elaborate on how these fluctuations were accounted for in their analysis or discuss their implications for the feasibility of composting and bioenergy production? For example, does the moisture content of organic waste during the wet season pose challenges for anaerobic digestion or composting processes? Furthermore, the PRISMA diagram does not specify whether any of the reviewed studies addressed seasonal variability. Could the authors clarify if this was considered in the inclusion criteria?
