Could the authors provide more details about the resolution and methodology used for capturing the cross-sectional images shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 5? This would help clarify the accuracy of the experimental validation.
The study mentions alignment between simulated and experimental particle concentrations. Were statistical comparisons, such as error margins or confidence intervals, performed to quantify this alignment?
While the focus is on improving wear resistance, I wonder about the potential long-term risks, such as SiC particle detachment during wear. Could the authors elaborate on how this was addressed or considered?
